Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any previous experience or skills to take part in the workshops?

Absolutely not! Ways of Seeing workshops are for everyone, regardless of ability and experience.  

 

Are materials provided? Is there anything I need to source myself?

Unless otherwise stated, all materials are supplied for every workshop- just bring your creative minds!

 

Are your venues for the workshops accessible? 

The interior of the venues chosen by Ways of Seeing are fully accessible. Unless stated otherwise, there are no parking facilities at the venues. All chosen venues are centrally located with parking options nearby. If you have any questions concerning the venue location do get in touch: info@waysofseeing.art

 

How many people are booked onto each workshop?

This varies depending on the type of workshop and the age of the participants. Here's what we generally aim for with each workshop:

Workshops for 7-11yrs: 8 participants

Workshops for 11-17yrs: 10 participants

Workshops for adults: 15 participants  

 

Will refreshments be available during the workshops?

Water will be provided during young people’s workshops, do feel free to bring a water bottle with you. Builders tea, instant coffee and semi-skimmed milk will also be available during adult workshops. If you have a preferred tea, coffee and milk please do bring it along and use our hot water.

Do you take photographs during the workshops?

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please just let us know if you would prefer not to be included.

Do you have an up-to-date DBS certificate?

Ways of Seeing staff and volunteers are checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and our adult to child ratio ensures sufficient support throughout the workshop. Guardians can choose to stay with the attendee/s or leave them to it during our creative workshops. Please ensure you include contact telephone details upon booking. 

Do you have insurance that covers the workshops?

Public liability insurance is in place for all Ways of Seeing events.
